Consider joining our dynamic team.Essential Functions:Plan, coordinate, and oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations across domestic and international networksOptimize transportation routes, load planning, and carrier selection to reduce costs and improve efficiencyMonitor shipment performance, resolve delays, and implement corrective actionsEnsure accurate documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and shipping recordsNegotiate, manage, and maintain international logistics and transportation contracts with carriers, suppliers, and third-party providersEnsure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, import/export requirements, and IncotermsPartner with supply chain team to review contracts, manage risk, and ensure favorable termsMonitor changes in global trade policies and adjust operations accordinglyOversee duties, tariffs, and compliance documentation to minimize risk and delaysSource, vet, and manage relationships with carriers and transportation providersNegotiate freight rates and service agreements to ensure competitive pricing and reliabilityTrack shipments and provide real-time communication to clients and stakeholdersResolve service issues, claims, and disputes related to freight movementBuild and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehouse partnersCollaborate with procurement, operations, and customer service teams to align logistics strategiesEvaluate vendor performance and implement continuous improvement initiativesDevelop and manage logistics budgets, forecasts, and cost control measuresAnalyze freight spend and identify cost-saving opportunitiesEstablish KPIs (on-time delivery, cost per shipment, service quality) and report on performanceEnsure accurate invoicing, auditing, and payment processes for freight servicesLead, train, and develop logistics team membersImplement process improvements, automation, and logistics technologies (TMS, ERP systems)Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfactionOther duties as assigned.Physical and Other Requirements:Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Mobility: The person in this position needs to move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Effective communication skills.PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company/departmental policies.
